Julie Middleton - Club Welfare Officer
Club Welfare Officer – our job and contact details
My name is Julie Middleton. I have a son playing for Ditchling U16 and my husband also makes the odd appearance for the senior sides! We live in the village very close to the Rec and so pop in regularly to the club during the season.
Ditchling achieved Clubmark by complying with the good practise guidelines as laid down by the ECB to safeguard and protect children within the club. I have trained as the Club Welfare Officer (“CWO”). As such, it is my job to work with the coaches, the committee and members to ensure that DCC is a safe and fun place for children to play and improve their cricket.
Please be aware that a child is technically anyone under the age of 18. The club has adopted a series of policies to ensure the safety and welfare of all children playing in the club. These can be found on the noticeboard and on the club website.
However, my role does not only concern Ditchling juniors. Anyone with a concern about any child’s welfare, be it suspected emotional or physical abuse, bullying or a concern that the child is not enjoying the coaching / games, can speak to me in confidence and I will listen and do my very best to help.
You can contact me anytime on 07542954523 or by email on middletonjulie0@gmail.com.
